Origins auto-detects either one as soon as it gets input from them and instantly swaps the button prompts as needed. I think I'll stick with a controller for Origins, so I can control movement speed with a thumbstick.
go to 'devices and printers'> connect your controller> remove the controller from devices (right click, remove device)> disconnect controller> reconnect controller. Hopefully that fixes it. make sure a 2nd controller doesnt appeared on devices (common issue people remove the wrong controller) and restart before connecting again.
